    Get your picture taken with Santa at the Klamath County Library on Saturday, December 16th from 10:30 am to 1 pm! Get here early for a cookie, have your photo taken with Jolly Saint Nick (don’t forget to tell him your wishlist) and stick around for fun holiday crafts! After your family gets a picture with Santa, you’ll get a link to an online photo collection of the high-res images so you can print them out or email them to friends and extended family. (Please note, Santa will be taking a brief milk-and-cookies break between 11:30 am and noon.) This event is open to Santa fans of all ages, but children under 10 should come with a parent or guardian, please. For more information, call 541-882-8894 or visit the Youth Services desk.

  2. The Motorcycle Diaries Screening & Discussion

    The downtown Klamath County Library and the Klamath Regional Health Equity Coalition are hosting a screening and discussion of the film The Motorcycle Diaries on Saturday, December 16th at 2 pm. The film screening is part of the Klamath Regional Health Equity Coalition’s Diversity Through the Arts program, a series of discussions about films and books that describe culture clashes and the benefits of embracing diversity. Based on Che Guevara’s memoir of the same name, The Motorcycle Diaries follows a young Guevara – years before he would become the internationally-known Marxist revolutionary – criss-crossing South America on motorcycle. While the trip was born of youthful hedonism, encounters with impoverished people throughout the continent spark the beginning of the revolutionary ideas that would define Guevara’s life...
