Vision
All Klamath County Citizens will have a Local Community Mental Health Department; Klamath Behavioral Health and Wellness that is accessible, accountable, comprehensive, caring and consumer-centered.
Thank you for your interest in Klamath Behavioral Health and Wellness. With the support of our Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), citizen/stakeholder volunteer boards and local consumer/advocate groups, KBHW has developed a broad based continuum of mental health services to meet the needs of citizens experiencing Mental Illness and/or Developmental Disabilities. Through principled planning with our community partners, we have prioritized services that are consistent with our community’s values. We are committed to providing quality programs and services by passionate, committed and creative KBHW staff.
SERVICES
KBHW provides assessment, brief therapy and crisis management services for persons experiencing symptoms of mental illness such as depression or anxiety, medication management services and primary care physician consultation.
Phoenix Place provides secure non-hospital hold, crisis respite and long term residential care.
Community Support Services Team provides case management and residential services, as well as access to training and community activities for persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
Developmental Disabilities Services include case management, community based care options, community supports, crisis and protective services for eligible individuals experiencing a developmental disability.
OASIS Drop-In Center is a consumer run facility that provides activities, socialization, meals and support for individuals with mental illness and their families.
Klamath Behavioral Health and Wellness also contracts with community partners to provide Children’s Mental Health Services and Alcohol and Drug Addiction treatment and prevention services. Children’s Mental Health Services are provided through our partner agency Klamath Youth Development Center and Alcohol and Drug services provided by Lutheran Community Services NW and Best Care Treatment Services (see Contact Us page). Supported Employment services include job development, job coaching and long term employment supports.
I sincerely hope you can take the time to get acquainted with our programs and services. We invite your comments and suggestions to help us in our constant efforts to improve our services.
