Vision
All Klamath County Citizens will have a Local Community Mental Health Department that is accessible, accountable, comprehensive, caring and consumer-centered.
Thank you for your interest in Klamath County Mental Health Department. With the support of our Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), citizen/stakeholder volunteer boards and local consumer/advocate groups, KCMHD has developed a broad based continuum of mental health services to meet the needs of citizens experiencing Mental Illness and/or Developmental Disabilities. Through principled planning with our community partners, we have prioritized services that are consistent with our community’s values. We are committed to providing quality programs and services by passionate, committed and creative KCMHD staff.
SERVICES
ACCESS Center is our point of entry to all services. It provides assessment, brief therapy and crisis management services for persons experiencing symptoms of mental illness such as depression or anxiety.
Phoenix Place provides secure non-hospital hold, crisis respite and long term residential care
Community Support Services Team provides a Day Treatment program, case management, residential and vocational services, as well as access to training and community activities for persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
The Mental Health Center provides medication management services and primary care physician consultation and is our administrative and billing center. The Community Support Services Team provides case management, residential and vocational services, as well as access to training and community activities for persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
Developmental Disabilities Services include case management, community based care options, community supports, crisis and protective services for eligible individuals experiencing a developmental disability.
Oasis Drop-In Center is a consumer run facility that provides activities, socialization, meals and support for individuals with mental illness and their families.
Klamath County Mental Health Department also contracts with community partners to provide
Children’s Mental Health Services and Alcohol and Drug Addiction treatment and prevention services and Gambling addiction treatment and prevention services. Children’s Mental Health Services are provided through our partner agency Klamath Youth Development Center (see Contact Us page).The following is a link to their website: klamathyouth.org
