Community Support Services

Community Support Services Program serves persons with severe and persistent mental illness including schizophrenia, major affective disorders, paranoid disorders, and any other disorders that display persistent psychotic symptoms. We provide life skills training, educational opportunities, representative payee services, case management and community integration. Services are provided to help the program participants achieve their highest potential for independent living. Persons who are nineteen years of age or older can be referred for admission to the program.

We also provide brief case management and advocacy services to individuals who need help being linked to other resources. Referrals come through KCMH medical providers as well as the Access Center.

Homeless Outreach Program
A qualified mental health professional provides outreach to community agencies such as the Gospel Mission, law enforcement agencies, local churches and concerned citizens to assist potential mental health consumers is finding mental health treatment and accessing other services. The outreach worker may assist in procuring benefits from other agencies such as Medicaid, VA, SSI or other entitlements as well as working with other agencies to obtain emergency housing, food, clothing or medical care. We also work closely with alcohol and drug programs, Community Corrections and others to assist in coordination of services for individuals with mental illness involved in multiple systems.

Supported Employment Program AKA- Innovations for Success (IFS)
Is a program designed to assist Mental Health customers in exploring employment opportunities.  IFS provides employment assessments, job matching, job development and long term support.  IFS is based on a nationally recognized model of supported employment known as Individual Placement and Support (ISP).  ISP programs around the country are highly successful in helping people find and keep jobs.  This model emphasizes competitive employment for persons with disabilities.  The employer will have access to a team of professionals who will provide on and off site support for as long as needed.  If interested in more information please contact IFS staff @ 541-882-7291 and ask for Barb or Stephanie in Supported Employment Dept.

OASIS Drop-in Center
The OASIS Drop-in Center is located at 900 Richmond Street in Klamath Falls. The center is open on Monday, Thursday and Fridays from 11a.m. till 2p.m. The OASIS provides a hot lunch on Thursdays and sandwiches on Mondays and Fridays. They also offer life skills classes, nutrition classes, bingo, crafts, movies and pool.

Membership is available to those with mental illness as well as those who support others with mental illness. Membership fees are $2.00 per month or $20.00 per year.
