Payment in Person or by Mail
|
Cash, checks, or money orders will be accepted from taxpayers wishing to make
payments in person at the Tax Collector's Office, 305 Main Street, Room 121,
during office hours.
|

The Tax Collector will also accept a check or money order by mail:305 Main Street, Room 121 Klamath Falls, OR 97601.
When mailing payment by check or money order,
remember to include your account number on the check or money order. Please do not
mail cash payments. Payments are considered timely if post marked on or before
the due date. |

Please Note: Credit Card, Debit Card, or E-Check payments
CANNOT be accepted at the Tax Collector's Office. Current provisions
of Oregon law prevent direct payment of property taxes by this method. However,
these types of payments will be accepted online over the internet. This service
is provided by a financial institution charging a convenience fee. See sections
below.

Payment Online
|
The Tax Collector will accept VISA, MASTERCARD, or E-CHECK.
|
For Credit or Debit card payments, there is a convenience fee of $3.95 or 2.49%
of the payment charged, whichever is larger. You will need your property account number.

For E-Check payments, there is a convenience fee of
$3.00 charge per transaction. You will need your property tax account
number, checking account, and bank routing numbers.

| $2,503.00 Total charged to your checking account |

Your property tax account number will be on your annual property
tax statement or your reminder notice. The number will begin with an "R",
"M", "U", or "P".
The alpha character is NOT used when entering your account
number.

You may only pay one account per electronic transaction.
|
Payments will be considered timely, on-line, if completed
and transmitted prior to 11:59 P.M. on the payment due date.
Property tax accounts are updated daily Monday to Friday.

Office for the current amount due.

Policies

Refunds: All tax payments received are applied
to the indicated tax account. If a tax account is overpaid, a refund will be
issued. There is no refund for the convenience fee.

faith to keep taxpayer's credit card numbers, expiration dates, and security
codes private, subject to compliance with the Oregon Public Records Law. Taxpayer
expressly acknowledges and agrees that the use of any information or link appearing

shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
caused by mistakes, omissions, deletions, errors, defects, or any failure or
delays.
