What is potable water?
Potable water, also known as drinking water, comes from surface and ground sources and is often treated to meet state and federal standards for use.
Is water from my Klamath County-provided water tank potable?
Not necessarily. You should not drink or cook with water from the water tank, unless it is boiled. Drinking this water might cause sickness such as diarrhea, vomiting or fever.
What is my best source of potable water?
Bottled water.
