Klamath County extends our deepest sympathies to those affected by the fires in our region. In the aftermath, you may have questions about how to begin the clean up and rebuilding process.
In conjunction with the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services, Klamath County Community Development and Klamath County Emergency Services are teaming up to implement a fire hardening grant program. Fire hardening describes certain steps during the rebuilding or building process that can make a home or business more resistant to fire damage.
More information about fire hardening, and details on how to apply for the grant program, can be found by clicking here. Applications, once submitted will be handled by our Emergency Services partners.
***At this time, only those affected by the 242 Wildfire are eligible to apply but please check back to this page periodically for updates on other fires and the eligibility for the program.***
